Brain Training For ADHD
ADHD, or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is a mental disorder that commonly affects children. Though adults can also suffer the effects of ADHD, it is most notable in children. It is typically first identified during school when a child cannot focus, has trouble learning, or has difficulty staying still. This disorder can be managed with medication, but many parents are hesitant to use this treatment on children so young.
What if there was a way children could learn to manage the symptoms of ADHD without medication? We are proud to say that neurofeedback and other therapies are available as natural and effective management strategies for ADHD in both children and adults.

What Is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback therapy is a real-time biofeedback activity that helps patients watch and learn from brain activity.
Here’s how it works:
The patient sits in front of a screen and wears a special cap. The cap has special sensors that monitor brain activity. This gives the patient real-time information about how the brain works and responds to different scenarios and triggers. The patient will go through a series of scenarios that may trigger the symptoms of ADHD and immediately learn how to respond. This feedback helps patients recognize triggers and develop plans to help treat the symptoms.
What Other Therapies May Help?
NeuraPerformance offers GyroStim and Dynavision, which may also be incorporated into the therapy plan for ADHD. GyroStim is a therapy that utilizes rotation and revolution movements along with laser targets to help fine-tune the focus function of the brain. Dynavision engages the reaction function of the brain as patients quickly tap the lights on a board.
